The Academy is located in Washington, DC on the 6th floor of the IBEW building at 900 7th Street, NW. The building occupies the corner of 7th and I (Eye) Street NW.

The Academy’s headquarters is located one block north of the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station, served by the Red, Yellow and Green lines.

Take the 7th and H Street exit and proceed north on 7th Street toward I (Eye) Street.

The Academy’s headquarters, in a large glass building, will be on the left hand side at the corner of 7th and I (Eye) Streets. You will see the Akridge banners on the side of the building.

There is a paid parking garage underneath the building. There are two entrances: one on I (Eye) Street and one on 7th Street. Both entrances identify the garage as “Park Tech.”

Wind down the entrance and take a ticket at the cashier booth.

Turn left and proceed to Level 2, 3 or 4. Level 1 is reserved parking. Please note that the later in the day, the less likely to find a space near the closest elevator.

At Levels 2, 3 or 4, proceed straight and follow Purple signs to 900 7th Street. You want to park in the Purple section near the elevators.

There are two elevator “rooms”. One has a bank of six elevators that only are accessible with an electronic key. Do not use these elevators. Use the adjacent elevator room that has a single elevator. There is a sign that indicates the elevator will take you to 900 7th Street.

Take this elevator to street level. Upon exiting, you will be on I (Eye) Street.

Turn left on the sidewalk. Enter the building at the corner of 7th and I (Eye) Streets.

Tell the security desk that you are attending a meeting at NAPA. Specify the meeting. The desk will request identification and issue you a badge. Security will escort you to the elevator.

Take the elevator to the sixth floor.

- Take Exit 8, towards SHADY GROVE RD/LOCAL LANES
- Merge onto I-270 LOCAL S
- Take I-270 SOUTH RAMP towards WASHINGTON
- Merge onto I-270 S
- Take Exit 5-4, towards FALLS ROAD(MD-189)/MONTROSE ROAD
- Merge onto I-270 LOCAL S
- Take I-270 S
- Take CAPITAL BELTWAY
- Take the BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON PARKWAY Exit 22B, towards WASHINGTON
- Merge onto MD-295 S
- Take exit toward WASHINGTON
- Merge onto US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE
- US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE becomes US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE NE/US-1 ALT S
- US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE NE/US-1 ALT S becomes NEW YORK AVE NE/US-50
- Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto L ST NW
- Turn LEFT onto 7th ST NW
- Take I-95 S
- Take I-95 S/CAPITAL BELTWAY/I-495 S
- Take the BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON PARKWAY Exit 22B, toward WASHINGTON
- Merge onto MD-295 S Take the exit toward WASHINGTON
- Merge onto US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE
- US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE becomes US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE NE/US-1 ALT S
- US-50 W/NEW YORK AVE NE/US-1 ALT S becomes NEW YORK AVE NE/US-50
- Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto L ST NW Turn LEFT onto 7th ST NW
- Take I-66 EAST/US-50 EAST toward WASHINGTON
- Take the E ST. exit on the left toward I-66 EAST
- Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp
- Stay straight to go onto E ST. EXWY
- E ST. EXWY becomes ramp
- Merge onto E ST., NW
- Turn LEFT onto 17th ST., NW
- Turn RIGHT onto H ST., NW
- Turn LEFT onto 7th ST., NW
- Take I-95 NORTH toward WASHINGTON
- Take the I-395 NORTH Exit 170A, on the left toward WASHINGTON
- Merge onto I-395 NORTH
- I-395 N becomes I-395 N/US-1 N
- Take the US-1 NORTH exit on the left
- Merge onto US-1 N
- US-1 N becomes US-1 N/14th ST., SW
- Stay straight to go onto 14th ST., NW
- Turn RIGHT onto NEW YORK AVE., NW
- Turn RIGHT onto 7th ST., NW
- Parking may be accessed on 7th Street or I (Eye) Street, NW, at the InterPark Facility.
