Office of Personnel Management:
Phase One Review of Senior Executive Service
Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
The Office of Personnel Management has asked the Academy to
examine the structure of the Senior Executive Service (SES)
and related issues to determine what, if any, changes need
to be made for the Senior Executive Service to meet the needs
of the federal government in the 21st Century. This includes
assuring that the SES provides a cadre of well qualifed, diverse
leaders who are able to help deliver citizen-centered, performance-based,
and results oriented government.
