National Dialogue on the Quadrennial Homeland Security Review
(posted 7/20/2009)
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has engaged the National Academy of Public Administration to facilitate a series of online dialogues with it vast array of partner organizations as part of its first Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (QHSR) process. Between July and September 2009, a series of three online dialogues will invite the DHS community of partners and stakeholders to discuss and prioritize the Department’s missions, goals, and success measures, as proposed by six cross-functional DHS Study Groups. They will focus on border security, immigration, counterterrorism/domestic security, emergency response, planning capacity/development and national risk assessment. Feedback and analysis from each dialogue will inform and refine the work of the DHS internal teams. The overall goal of the effort is to analyze and include the views of a broad range of stakeholders in this first-ever top-to-bottom review of DHS missions and capabilities.
