REVIEW OF ORGANIZATION AND ACQUISITION

Purpose and Scope:

At the request of the House Subcommittee on Interior and Related Agencies, the National Academy of Public Administration will assess the reorganization plan and certain acquisition activities of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The study will have four parts: (1) review the reorganization plans and provide EERE and Congress with perspectives on its adequacy and practicality, (2) assess implementation cost issues (3) review acquisition processes and provide advice on how they can be more effective and efficient in supporting the implementation of EERE's programs, and (4) monitor the implementation of the reorganization over an 18-month period.
