Julius Biggs is a recent graduate of State University of New York (SUNY) – New Paltz, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. While at SUNY, he participated in the SUNY Global Engagement Program a full-time internship where his research focused on understanding how nongovernmental organizations operate as part of an international system. In conjunction with this program, he interned for Safe Horizon’s Anti-Human Trafficking Program where he conducting policy research for the team. Julius currently works as a Program Coordinator and Facilitator for the Arab-American Family Support Center. Julius enjoys this role because he is able to provide support to immigrant and refugee youth in NYC, while he prepares to attend graduate school to further his studies of International Affairs. Julius strongly believes in research-based policy initiatives and hopes to enhance his knowledge and understanding of how that intersects with public policy frameworks at the Academy.
