Elise joins the Academy as a Research Associate, however she is not new to the Academy. In the fall of 2018, Elise participated in a capstone project for her Public Policy degree that was in collaboration with the Academy. Elise and her team wrote a 35 page report titled, Harnessing the Power of Data to Transform Intergovernmental Grant Programs. The report focused on how data-driven performance evaluation methods can improve the efficiency of intergovernmental poverty-reducing grant programs. Elise found this to be the most extensive and rewarding team project of her academic career. She recently graduated from the University of Maryland earning a B.A. in Public Policy and a B.A. in Government & Politics, Spanish Minor.
