Melinda Yeboah


In August, Melinda began year two of a three-year accelerated Bachelors program at Virginia Tech. She is an honors student majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to pursue a graduate degree in Public Health. This semester Melinda is participating in Virginia Tech's Washington Semester in Global Engagement program. This program is allowing Melinda the opportunity to expand her knowledge of public policy, administration, and political science. Melinda will intern with the DOE study team. During this internship, Melinda hopes to engage in fundamental skills that will further broaden her assessment of protocols and policies that will assist in her personal development of framework. Her interests include advocating within the minority groups, she actively participates in and being a mentor to incoming transfer students to facilitate a smooth transition.
